Uncle Brad's Birthday
Yesterday was Uncle Brad's birthday. So Aidan called and left him a message, singing "Happy Birthday." Then, he wanted to call everyone (Daddy,Nonnie, Papi and Aunt Michelle) to sing to them, too. We sent them all "I love you" texts instead. What a sweet boy we have. The rest of the day, everyone we came in contact with heard that it was Uncle Brad's birthday. And, today when he wanted to call to talk to Daddy, the first thing he did was start to sing "Happy Birthday" to him. He's so cute!

Our new Jeep
Joe decided to sell his motorcycle so that we could buy something that the whole family could use.(I love that he wants to be with us more- he's such a good daddy!) My dad was thinking of selling his Jeep at the same time, so we decided to buy it. We thought it would be neat to keep it in the family, and Aidan definitely agreed. Since the day Joe brought it home, it is all he can talk about. I don't know exactly what it is; The fact that it is so open, it's so loud or that the tires are so big, he is so into it! On our first ride, Aidan sat in the back seat of the Jeep, and Cruz rode in his carseat with Nonnie and Papi. Cruz slept on and off the whole time, and Aidan fell asleep about 5 minutes into it. He fell into such a hard sleep that he didn't even wake up when we stopped for a break! The Jeep has also been a great bargaining tool for Joe and I. Because of the recent fires in the area, our first trip home from offroading was extremely long. It took us 9 1/2 hours to get home. During that trip, poor Aidan's bladder was stretched to the max because he refused to go standing up, let alone in the middle of the desert, on the side of the road. So, it was great motivation for him to finally start peeing standing up. So we said: "If you go standing up, you get to sit in the Jeep!" He took to it immediately! I am maybe a little too excited about this... Oh, the joys of parenting!
